Whoever said you can't buy love was wrong, we just did, and her name is Missy.
I asked Davi what she wanted for her birthday and she replied "a kitty in our home". She paused and said, I really miss having a kitty to love.
She could have asked for clothes, gift cards, a shopping spree, ipod, wii,...
All she asked for is to give a kitty a home. How could I refuse?
We really looked and looked, we found several cats - but I really wanted the girls to enjoy the brief time of kittenhood.
We found "Missy" through FOCAS (friends of county animal shelters) - she is spayed, microchipped and had her first shots. Even though she is orange, she is a girl!!!
The girls and I bought her a collar, that she takes off. a kitty condo she doesn't even look at, and a pink bed - and she prefers to sleep on Davi's homework.
The girls are in heaven and I am smitten.
She caught her first lizard (I saved it from death!) she had something she was really interested in under the table , I thought she found a piece of paper or trash and didn't want her to have it and it moved. I caught the lizard and put him out, Missy was quite upset I took it away.
She has tons of energy and is like caffeine covered in fur. it is a lot like trying to photograph a falling raindrop. these photos were the ones of her taking a brief moment or falling asleep.

I think she's Beautiful! I love cats this colour. Would get one in a heartbeat if it wasn't for the fact my dog (also in this colour) would eat it!
You must be proud of your daughter too! What a great chaacter that she isn't like most of her generation and completly materialistic. You've done a great job mum&dad!
Congrats! & Happy Birthday to Davi!

Oh Johanna...she is just beautiful. That picture of her in the carpet is absolutely adorable. Davi really knows how to pick a gift that keeps on giving.
SHE'S absolutely delightful! Such a cutie! I love that "caffeine covered with fur!"

Wow! Cute! And excellent pictures! As we say in Spanish: "Creo que he visto un lindo gatito", ¡ja, ja, ja! (That is the Spanish translation for what Tweety--which we call Piolín--used to say whenever he saw Sylvester--which we call Silvestre: "I tawt I taw a puddy tat!").
Adorable kitty pictures! Our last kitty was named Missy - our youngest DD got her when she was in jr high and she just loved her. ENJOY!
