Girlfriends University!

Hey- we have a new feature at the girlfriends club website, you can sign up for a newsletter, and we have down loadable PDF project sheets of some of our projects. My Halloween Shaker Box Project is on there as well as some projects from Leah Fung and Donna Salazar. If you like the shaker box layout, just click on this link http://www.thegirlfriendsclub.net/ and it will take you over there, then click on Girlfriends University. Although the shaker box is a Halloween theme, you can build one for any theme.
Keep your eyes peeled for photos of the Royal Caribbean "Radiance of the Seas", I am taking a tour on Wednesday and I am going to post the photos!!! I hope that you join us for our cruise in may, there is still time to sign up and make small monthly payments. The last cruise was sooo much fun, you should treat yourself!
Also, there is a post from last Friday "Photo Friday", its all about taking photos out doors, you should check it out at : http://thegirlfriendsclub.typepad.com/the_girlfriends_club/ . It has a lot of good information on how to take outdoor photos, you may want to read this before heading to the pumpkin patch or picking apples.
Hugs!! your scrapbooking friend, Johanna Peterson

9:30 am – A car ride! My favorite thing!
9:40 am – A walk in the park! My favorite thing!
10:30 am – Got rubbed and petted! My favorite thing!
12:00 pm – Lunch! My favorite thing!
1:00 pm – Played in the yard! My favorite thing!
3:00 pm – Wagged my tail! My favorite thing!
5:00 pm – Milk bones! My favorite thing!
7:00 pm – Got to play ball! My favorite thing!
8:00 pm – Wow! Watched TV with the people! My favorite thing!
11:00 pm – Sleeping on the bed! My favorite thing!

Excerpts from a Cat’s Daily Diary:
Day 683 of my captivity:
My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets.
Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.

The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the floor.
Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a “good little hunter” I am. The audacity!

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of “allergies.” I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow– but at the top of the stairs.
I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released — and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded!

The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicate with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe…for now…

News

Hey everyone, so sad to report that YellowBird Scrapbooking store is on the market. The owners feel like they need to make some changes in their personal lives, and have decided to sell the store...but I am PRAYING that someone will buy the store. The store is actually doing very well, even in today's economy. This could be some one's dream realized, to own their own business and live in San Diego. If you know of someone who is interested in taking over the store, email me at aadvphoto@aol.com and I can pass on your information to the owners. Its a great store with a great group of customers, its a lot like a family. But, with every turn of events becomes a new opportunity.

The kit has the My Minds Eye "spiders web" line in it, tons of great ribbon and a pumpkin chipboard mini album. great kit! The letters inside are "Haunted" by Quickutz. Hmmm, but now who to give this to???

Halloween Class

Boo! I mean, Hey everyone! I am ready for Halloween! Not in the literal sense, ready, but "cant wait" type of ready.
I made this layout with the new Pine Cone Press kits, the My Mind's Eye "Spider Web" line, I only used a fraction of the kit, so you will have a ton of paper, ribbon, etc. to create more projects. This is a shaker style layout and there are beads, stars and google eyes that shake around, and the moon swings from side to side.
I am teaching this class at Yellowbird scrapbooking store : Satuday September the 12th, 10 am, if you need more information, just email me or call {619}579-7422.
