I am in love

I have found a new man in my life, he is a bit husky, but I figure it is just more to love. He has the most beautiful blue eyes and women fall all over him. He is loyal and always excited to see me and not afraid to show affection. but my friends and family say it will never work out...they say he is a dog.

Just kidding, this is my friend Betty & Mark's new puppy Rausch. He is the most docile, huggable puppy ever!! if you set him down to sit for photos, he just sits there. He is a darling little husky :)

Knott's Berry Farm

Decided to have a family day and go to Knott's Berry Farm. I have a smaller car now, so I couldn't take as many people as last year.
Sara has never been to Knott's - she loved it, she and Davi hung out for most of the day and rode the Silver Bullet Roller coaster 10 times? I personally lost count...
Sara also tried funnel cake for the first time :) and the girls all played the games and each won a bear. Sara named hers "Edward" - from the movie "Twilight" :)
We rode the bumper cars over and over and .... Hallie rode the swing ride until the park closed. We stopped by the General Store and bought some candy by the pound. I bought my favorite, the licorice pastels (like Good n' Plenty) which is a good one to like, since I am the only one who likes licorice pastels {more for me!!}. We went and had a chicken dinner at Mrs. Knotts Famous Fried Chicken restaurant before going home.
I had a great time with the girls and we will always remember our trip...although my waistline would rather forget.

Meet Tinkerbelle

Tinkerbelle is our latest pet. She is a Rose Haired Tarantula.The girls just love her and pet her like a kitty {she is actually quite soft}. She is quite docile and use to being handled by people. Hallie and Davi have both taken her to school - earlier this fall we found a pretty hungry and thirsty tarantula on our front porch, we fed it and gave it water and released it in an eucalyptus grove. They missed him and so we went to Petco and bought Tinkerbelle. Yes, she makes webs, but she catches her food {crickets} and eats it whole.
A friend of ours was at the house a bit hesitant about having a pet like Tink {we call her Tink for short} and Davi told her "oh, she is just like a kitty...but with 4 tails"

Not that I am a proud parent or anything...

Just entertain me while I brag a bit - this is an oil painting Davi did in her 7th grade beginning oil painting class. I am so impressed. I could not have painted this at 12 years old. Way to go Davi!!

Detail shot of the kite, it has a ribbon tail and I machine stitched the paper. It is all heavily lacquered, so you could {heaven forbid} set a glass of water on the table without worry.

Ok, had this accent table and it was u-g-l-y. Had to cover it or something, couldn't a little accent table cloth at wal mart or Target, so I was going to paint it and then I decided to SCRAP it.

I added rick rack around the edge - it's just so cute for the girls room! It says, "there are many tomorrows, but only one today!"

There is a ton of Around the Block product on it, jewels, glitter, puffy shapes, paper...

So I have already had one request for a table like this, but customized {a brunette girl with a brown dog and a different little phrase} and I am thinking of selling these on etsy. They are super easy to ship since the legs unscrew.

new video - My Minds Eye

hey- Leah Fung, Donna Salazar and I (Johanna Peterson) have a new video up, its one of my favorites so far. Donna brought a bunch of MME (My Minds Eye) products and we all make a layout using the same supplies. Fun also, since Leah used a photo of her son, I scrapped Davi and Donna made a page about her and her husband.

Sara was a pilot and Sandy and I dressed as "tired moms" - the yellow rubber gloves was Hallie's idea....hmmm - I suppose she has seen Sandy and I wear yellow gloves a few times...

Davi was a DUST BUNNY

Kathryn came trick or treating with us, its a tradition. She was a Jedi - her Light Sabre was very very cool and authentic, it made a loud noise and was super heavy and...who needs a flashlight when you have a light sabre to light the way?

Davi won 1st place at school for "Most Original". Imagine that...most original at this house :)

Hallie already knows what she wants to be for Halloween next year....a GERM. Yes, hallie wants to be a Germ next year.
