Flight time

I just love it when I get to fly. All my stress just goes away when I am flying along.

I love how the clouds look from above. The tower told us to descend to 1800 and go to Mt Soledad...umm one problem- where is it? we kept flying along and right infront of Mt. Soledad was a little hole in the clouds :) so perfect! So my pilot shot through the hole and then we were below the clouds again.

ok, no - she is really yawning, but I think she looks like she is laughing at one of shane's jokes.

My friend Melisa said she looks like she could eat you.

Nah!! she is a really sweet and docile kitty.

First day of school

Hallie started 2nd and Davi is 6th. wow. where did the years go?

they both like their teachers: Mrs Higgins for 2nd and Mrs Nueman for 6th.

they have made new friends and each brought thier teachers a chocolate chip muffin today :)

Labor Day

well, it was 115 here in east county, so we went to the beach to escape the heat. most people thought we were insane going to the beach on the 2nd biggest beach day in San Diego (1st being the 4th of July) but it was no problem at North Island, Naval Air Station :)

we stopped for iced teas and then went to the beach about 1:00pm, got a spot in the little lot and then set up our little tent.

it was even warm at the beach - 90!!

the girls had a great time and they enjoyed their last bit o summer. it was Kathryn's last day before school - but the girls just had a 3 day weekend since they started 2 weeks ago.

the waves were big and rough that day, so I made the girls stay near the life gaurd tower.

we went to dinner on base afterwards- fun day
